Auréade Henry
Auréade Henry is a permanent researcher at CNRS since 2017. She is a paleobotanist specialized in archaeological wood, charcoal and phytolith analysis. Her research focuses on Late Pleistocene – Early Holocene environmental changes, hunter-gatherer adaptations and human-plant interrelations.
Current research themes:
- Environments, fuel use and economies of the Pleistocene-Holocene transition in temperate and subarctic forests;
- The role of plants in European Mesolithic societies;
- Ethnoarchaeology of plant and fire use in Siberia
