Yves Bergeron, Recipient of the 2019 ACFAS Adrien-Pouliot Prize in Scientific Cooperation with France sponsored by the Consulate

Yves Bergeron is a professor at the Forest Research Institute of the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Temiscamingue (UQAT) and in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). He received the Acfas Arien-Pouliot prize for scientific cooperation with France, sponsored by the French Consulate in Quebec and the Ministry of International Relations and Francophony. A specialist in forest ecology, Yves Bergeron is interested in natural disturbances of boreal forests, especially forest fires. Yves has collaborated since the 1990s with France, and he founded in 2012 the Associated International Laboratory (France-Canada) on mountain and boreal forests, which in 2015 became the International Research Network on Cold Forests (IRN on Cold Forests).
