Current themes
My research focuses on the dynamics of forest ecosystems (boreal, tropical, mediterranean) over longer time periods. Broadly defined, the aim of my work is to characterize the response of forests to climate change and changes in natural disturbances regimes (fires, insect epidemics, soil drought, windthrow). I work at different levels of the forest ecosystem, from climate to soil water resources, analyzing a wide variety of databases (fiels measurements, modelling, teledetection) and applying mainly mechanistic models (LPJ-LMfire, BILJOU, ORCHIDEE)
Key words: Climate change, Multi-risks, Forests, Land surface model, Modelling
