Julien DIDIER is a CNRS engineer specializing in studies of geo-natural and anthropized environments at the Chrono-environnement Laboratory in Besançon (25), France.

He is responsible for in situ sampling of sediment cores from lakes and wetlands and is the coordinator of the French national continental coring network (RCCF).

He analyzes the geophysical properties of sediment cores in the laboratory using an automated measurement system on the MSCL (Multi Sensor Core Logger).
