La Rencontre annuelle du Groupe de recherche international sur les forêts froides s’est tenue du 2 au 4 novembre 2020 entre 10h00 et 14h00 temps universel coordonné (UTC).
Chers collègues, membres et amis du Groupe de recherche international sur les forêts froides,
Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer la prochaine rencontre virtuelle qui sera organisée à partir de la France. La rencontre virtuelle sera organisée autour de cinq thèmes :
- Biodiversité et biogéographie de la forêt froide : de modèles locaux à des modèles globaux
- Perturbations et dynamiques des forêts froides
- Changement global/impact global : les réponses socio-économiques des forêts froides face au changement climatique
- Tirer des leçons du passé : paléoécologie et écologie de paysage des forêts froides
- Tester les adaptations ? Gestion forestière et nouvelles pratiques dans les forêts froides
Revue Forests
En relation avec la rencontre virtuelle, nous prévoyons d’organiser une rubrique spéciale « Natural Disturbances under Climate Change: Challenges, Trends, and Management Implications ↗ » dans la revue Forests où les contributions pourront être publiées. Nous vous suggérons d’envisager non seulement de participer à la rencontre virtuelle, mais aussi de contribuer à cette rubrique spéciale.
La date de soumission limite pour vos articles est le 15 mars 2021.

Annual meeting, 2-3-4/11/2020
The annual meeting of the international research network on cold forests will take place online, from the 2nd to the 4th of November 2020, between 10h and 14h universal time
Dear colleagues, members and friends of the International Research Network on Cold Forests, we are happy to announce our next meeting, virtual this year. Our discussions will be organized around 5 topics and perhaps more :
1. Biodiversity and biogeography of cold forests : from local to global patterns
2. Disturbances and dynamic of cold forests
3. Global change and its impacts : socio-economical responses of cold forests face to climate change
4. Lessons from the past : paleoecology and landscape ecology in cold forests
5. Testing adaptations : forest management and new practices

We also plan to summarize our exchanges to contribute to a special issue on « Natural Disturbances under Climate Change: Challenges, Trends, and Management Implications ↗ » in Forests where your contributions could be integrated and published, think about it !
The submission deadline for your articles is March 15, 2021.
